1. What do you want to count?

  • Pedestrians only: The basic PMX Firmware with speed class 0 is sufficient. For bi-directional counting, choose the LS license.
  • Pedestrians and bicycles: The LS license is required for separate counting. It allows grouping of objects by length and speed up to 30 km/h. The "Slow Traffic and Pedestrians Kit" comes with the LS license pre-installed.
  • Smart City applications: For complex traffic scenarios with diverse objects like cars, buses, and trucks, the PRO license offers full flexibility. It enables simultaneous counting and categorization of objects into up to 4 groups, including oversized vehicles, using the advanced MBR algorithm.

2. What are your connectivity requirements?

  • LoRaWAN: The PMX TCR supports LoRaWAN 1.1 for long-range, low-power communication. Choose a kit with the appropriate LoRaWAN region for your location.
  • Power source: Consider a solar-powered kit for autonomous operation in areas with sufficient sunlight. Battery backup ensures continued operation in low-light conditions.
