PMX Firmware for TCR
The PMX firmware for TCR includes the brand new MBR algorithm, specially developed for precise applications in people flow and road traffic. It is ideal for smart city solutions and offers even more options and features than older versions or conventional radar devices.
With various licensing options and new features, it optimises the efficiency of data collection and offers simple two-step installation as well as support for LoRaWAN 1.1 and regular firmware updates for continuous improvements.
High measuring accuracy
The new firmware enables a measurement accuracy of up to 95%*, which is a significant improvement over previous versions of the TCR devices. This substantial increase ensures more precise and reliable detection of objects, resulting in more accurate data for applications such as traffic analysis and people flow in urban environments.

Installation in two steps
The PMX devices are easy to install and configure with the PMX Setup Tool and activate the firmware. Precise alignment in accordance with the instructions ensures maximum accuracy. This means that the system is quickly ready for use and immediately delivers precise measurement results for various applications.
Objects up to 30m
TCR radar counters use size and speed filters to categorise counted objects up to 30 metres in length into up to four different groups. This process enables precise detection and tracking of objects.
Energy efficient communication
PMX TCR meters support the LoRaWAN 1.1 standard, which was developed for long-distance communication of small amounts of data with low power consumption. This technology offers an energy-saving alternative to mobile networks for IoT devices that require a long battery life and a long range.

Compatible devices
With the latest model-based PMX firmware, older Parametric TCR meters (generation 1 and 2) as well as PCR2 devices can be upgraded to a new level. This upgrade significantly increases lifetime and value by improving data acquisition accuracy to at least 95% and bringing performance to the level of the new PMX TCR .
TCR Gen-2
A firmware licence is also available and can be installed for Generation 2 TCR devices purchased via Parametric, PMX or a PMX Solution Partner.
TCR Gen-1
For older Generation 1 Parametric TCR devices, the firmware licence can be purchased and installed to bring the device up to date.
PMX TCR
The new PMX TCR presents itself with a modernised design. In addition, the new firmware is already pre-installed and ready for use.
PCR2-OD
The PCR2-OD people counter becomes a multifunctional TCR object counter with the PMX firmware. This means that not only people can be counted, but also vehicles, bicycles and more.
PCR2-ODS
The PMX firmware transforms the PCR2-ODS into a TCR object counter that records precise data on the number of people, vehicles and other objects.
